Wakefield, MA, March 18, 2014 – SEMPO, the leading international organization for the search and digital marketing profession, today announced the results of its 2014 Board of Directors election, from ballots cast by the organization’s members. The term of office for the new Board – comprised of 13 members – will begin on March 19, 2014. The new Directors will serve through March 2016. One of their first responsibilities after taking office will be to elect the SEMPO Officers.
“The new SEMPO Board represents a deeply experienced and diverse group of individuals ranging across agencies, technology providers, publishers and brands” says SEMPO Board Chairperson, Chris Boggs of Internet Marketing Ninjas. “The SEMPO membership had to make some difficult decisions as we had 20 highly qualified marketers seeking the 13 seats available. As I enter my ninth year on the board I feel rejuvenated by the nine new Board members, many of whom I have had the pleasure of working on SEMPO initiatives with over the past years. This proven group of Search and Social Marketers will help SEMPO continue to grow globally, with the ongoing support of our members, committees, and local groups.”
Boggs continued, “I also want to thank the 9 outgoing members for their volunteer service to SEMPO, and know that many of them will continue to support our organization and our industry. As we move forward with the new Board, I look forward to supporting the new executive leadership team, and growing the relevance and prominence of the organization within the global marketing ecosystem”
