Wakefield, Mass. – February 29, 2012 – SEMPO, the leading international organization for the search and digital marketing profession, today announced the results of its 2012 Board of Directors election, from ballots cast by the organization’s members. The term of office for the new Board – comprised of 13 members – will begin on March 22, 2012. The new Directors will serve through March 2014. One of their first responsibilities after taking office will be to elect the SEMPO Officers.
“The new Board is a great combination of talent, vision, and energy – representing diverse interests and specialties within search and digital marketing,” said outgoing SEMPO Board Chairperson Jeffrey Pruitt, CEO of Tallwave. “I leave the SEMPO Board after eight years confident that this team has what it takes to lead the organization to the next level. I look forward to working closely with the Board in my capacity as incoming Chair of the SEMPO Board of Advisors.”
Pruitt continued, “I would like to thank the thirty-seven extremely qualified nominees who ran for the thirteen Board seats. Their commitment and willingness to serve the organization speak to the high level of enthusiasm that industry leaders have for SEMPO. We look forward to their continued engagement with SEMPO in the years to come.”
Pruitt also praised the departing Board members for the role they played in advancing SEMPO’s vision over the past two years. “Thank you also to the departing Board members. They have been instrumental in helping position the organization for future success.”
