Lesley Ning - "Reaching Vancouver's Chinese community online and on mobile"

Did you know that more than 600 newcomers arrive in Canada each day, and that 20% of the Canadian population speak neither English nor French at home? To develop a winning marketing strategy in a city as diverse as Vancouver, you need to adopt a multicultural approach and get your brand name out to multiple communities. People who might benefit from your product or services may be missing out if you only speak to them in English as they might be searching online in other languages, or interacting on social sites such as Weibo, WeChat, or VK.

Lesley Ning, Digital Marketing Specialist at LAT Multilingual will explain how you can broaden your reach to multiple markets through multilingual websites, and how culturally-specific social media can help grow your business. Lesley will also talk about:

  • Multilingual websites & multilingual SEO
  • The Chinese digital space: social media, ecommerce and Baidu
  • The rise of mobile marketing in China
