SEMPO Cities Kansas City: Traversing the Shifting Landscape of Search

We’re back and excited for the fifth annual SEMPO Cities Kansas City event! Mark your calendars for an info-packed afternoon where we will dive into all things search marketing. Expert contributors will be walking through the ever-changing world of search marketing from enterprise level to local search. Learn from real case study execution in SEO and Paid Search and gain an understanding of how to effectively market in an evolving landscape. Join us as we wrap up the day with a collaborative session to bounce both questions and ideas of each other to help us all become better marketers. Digital Marketing Pre-Conference Workshop: 10am-12pm
The Search Marketing Workshop features a wealth of information at an approachable level about search marketing including both organic search engine optimization (SEO) and paid search.
This event is great for those that want to learn more about search including business owners, executives, generalists, and those early in their marketing careers. Additionally, it includes a refresher or outside perspective for marketers well-versed in the content and ample Q&A time for specific issues.
Starting with an overview of how search fits into the mix of digital and broader traditional marketing channels, how the search engines operate, and the evolution of the industry, we’ll dig in deep into both the organic and paid search channels specifically.
In SEO, we’ll cover the three pillars including aspects of indexing and technical, on-page, and the off-page or external factors that go into it. Additionally, we’ll walk through strategy and how to put together a process to be successful.
In paid search we’ll cover how it works, the networks, the metrics, reporting, and dig into bonus material where paid search often overlaps with paid social media marketing. Like SEO, we’ll touch on a process and ways to successfully manage and optimize paid search campaigns.
Search marketing is not done in a vacuum and must be measured. The last category of content in the workshop will address measurement specifically looking at Google Analytics reports that matter, how to gain insights, and other third party tools that can help paint a complete picture of performance.
Q&A will be offered throughout the workshop and a dedicated time at the end will be offered for attendees in an “ask me anything” format.
SEMPO members can add this workshop onto their registration for the KC Search Conference for $20. Non-members can bundle both the workshop and conference together for $75.
