Description

Search professionals know how much of their traffic comes from Google, but frequently don’t know how much of it goes right back to Google. For many companies, that traffic is almost the same number. If your site search isn’t answering questions — a visitor looking for answers gets halted right in their steps with a “no results” page — what then?

This month’s chat is on tips and tricks for making your site search into a conversion machine. After all, site searchers are your best customers. They are 87% more likely to achieve marketing goals, and 43% more likely to buy. Great site search means handing visitors the answers to their questions, enabling effective customer journeys.

Stephen Zakur, SoloSegment

Stephen Zakur has been building and leading technology organizations for twenty years. During the late 90s, he was part of the first internet wave running sales at a tech start-up founded by a buddy from business school. The rise and fall of that new venture was deeply humbling. But the experience also turned him on to the high that can only be achieved in entrepreneurial experiences.

Steve’s business philosophy is best summarized by a shamelessly stolen phrase: Think Big, Start Small, Go Fast. In his world, the perfect is the enemy of the good. Launch. Iterate. Improve. The good will soon turn out to be excellent. And you’ll learn a bunch along the way about how to add value to your clients.

Prior to joining SoloSegment, Steve worked at tech giant IBM where he was recognized for his ability to turn around low-performing organizations. These rescues required him to draw upon the full suite of general management skills to move organizations forward towards success.
