Inaugural SEMPO Member Forum Successful on all Fronts: "Insightful Relevant Topics and Camaraderie with Intelligent Peers"

Majority of Attendees Are Firms' Decision Makers

WAKEFIELD, Mass. – April 7, 2016 -- SEMPO, the world's largest nonprofit organization serving the search and digital marketing industry and the marketing professionals engaged in it, announced that its first global in-person event, the SEMPO 2016 Member Forum held March 10-11 in San Diego, was a success from every standpoint: in attendance, in execution, in participant evaluations, and financially.


At this inaugural event, more than 125 SEMPO members and partners joined their digital marketing peers in discussions of cutting-edge topics, explored new tools and techniques, learned from industry luminaries, and shared search marketing and social media best practices, as well as broadening their professional networks. Innovative and outstanding practitioners and firms from around the world were celebrated, including the first-ever SEMPO Global Awards and SEMPO Cities honorees.

About the attendees:

·         More than 70% were decision-makers within their organizations, holding C-level or Senior Manager/Director titles.

·         In line with the makeup of SEMPO's membership, the largest group of attendees was from agencies, with a good mix of in-house marketers and other ecosystem players rounding out the total.

·         Attendees' areas of expertise were well balanced among SEO, Paid Search, Mobile, Social Media, Local and International sectors.  


One way in which the SEMPO Member Forum differed from other industry events proved to be very popular: the process for developing its agenda. Industry professionals were invited to suggest sessions on topics important to them, based on their areas of expertise. As a result, the program delivered sought-after actionable information and insights, which participants can now apply to enhance their individual and corporate success.
