Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) Founded to Promote Search Engine Marketing Services

San Jose, CA – August 20, 2003 – More than 300 search engine marketing firms and consultants today announced that they are joining forces to become founding members of the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO). The mission of the new industry association is to increase awareness and promote the value of search engine marketing services.

Barbara C. Coll, President of SEMPO, said, "Search engine marketing is ready to become an integral part of all marketing campaigns for online businesses. SEMPO will inform marketing executives worldwide that search engine marketing programs are highly-effective, cost-efficient ways of generating high-quality sales leads and customers for their businesses."
