SEMPO Announces Newly Elected Board of Directors Who Will Serve for Two YearsNumber of votes cast is 40 percent more than last yearWakefield, MA, February 25, 2008 – The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) today announced the results of its 2008 Board of Directors election. A record number of votes was cast—40 percent more than last year. The 13 newly elected individuals, who were elected to a two-year term, will remain on the Board until 2010. The new Board will begin their term March 12. Board officers will be elected at the SEMPO March Board meeting and announced at SEMPO’s meeting at Search Engine Strategies (SES) New York on March 17. “I look forward to serving with the new Board, each of whom brings incredible talent and commitment to SEMPO. We are set up to do many great things with our research, local and global growth initiatives, and interactions with the search-engine and other sponsors,” said Jeffrey Pruitt, President of SEMPO and iCrossing executive vice president of corporate partnerships. “I also want to thank the departing Board members for their generous professional and personal contributions towards SEMPO’s growth.” Pruitt continued, “Looking back on the past year’s achievements, I’m pleased to say that the growth of the SEMPO Institute over the last year has been more successful than we could have imagined.
