  Mike Moran is member of the Board of Directors of SEMPO, and runs the SEMPO Site Search Special Interest Group. He's a veteran digital marketing and technology consultant who serves as a senior srategist for Converseon, a leading digital marketing agency based in New York. He is also a senior strategist for SoloSegment, a solutions company that uses marketing automation software and consulting services to simplify and amplify the B2B marketing that you already do.

Prior to this, Mike spent 30 years at IBM, rising to Distinguished Engineer, an executive-level technical position. Mike was the manager of’s Web Experience, where he pioneered IBM’s search marketing program.

Mike was a manager, project leader, and lead designer on several programming projects, including one that redesigned IBM’s eight million-page website, one that developed two IBM products, and one that developed IBM's first internet service offering. Mike is a certified marketing professional proficient in managing individual customer engagements. He is experienced in business plan development, technical architecture and strategy, and computer research. He is the holder of 11 US patents.

Mike is the co-author of Outside-In Marketing and Search Engine Marketing, Inc., and sole author of the acclaimed Internet marketing book, Do It Wrong Quickly: How the Web Changes the Old Marketing Rules.

Mike is a Certified Speaking Professional who speaks at events around the world, sometimes to hundreds of people, sometimes to just a few, but each time he makes it worth their while.
