Job Description

The Senior Web Analytics Analyst will work primarily with the BusinessOnLine Web Analytics and Optimization teams but will also provide a supportive role to other BusinessOnLine production teams and our clients to deliver sophisticated analytics solutions. These services may include configuring current analytics platforms, implementing new platforms, developing custom reports and key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards, and providing detailed analysis. The Senior Web Analytics Analyst is expected to come into the position with experience working with previous analytics platforms, providing analysis of reports, and developing recommendations for optimizing online marketing campaigns.

From a development perspective, the Senior Web Analytics Analyst must continue learning and keep up to date with new and developing platforms and strategies within the space and translate this knowledge to continually improve BusinessOnLine's internal analytics process. Scope of Responsibilities:

Support the analytic needs for clients and their businesses by analyzing web traffic using clickstream tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, Webtrends, and Fireclick
Create holistic dashboards by aggregating data from various data sources for analysis and presentation to clients
Uncover core insights from the data to suggest, create and A/B or multivariate tests to drive fundamental changes to site experience
Holistic approach to reporting and analysis: clickstream analysis, outcome analysis, search analysis, multivariate testing analysis
Support analysis that will cover campaigns (paid and organic search marketing, direct marketing, product mix, online demand generation, etc.)
Work with web technology teams to closely identify gaps in the data capture strategy and collaborate to implement enhancements
Typical Deliverables:

Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Lead development of dashboards
Website behavior and customer experience analysis
Data consolidation and validation
Facilitate analytics code implementations: analytics code, tracking parameters, web analytics tool administration
Lead creation and completion of multivariate and a/b testing documents (hypothesis creation, influencing creative, identifying success metrics) and post-test analysis
Documentation relating to existing processes and suggestion/presentation for improving those processes

Experience

Knowledge, Background, and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skill sets and abilities:

3+ years of experience working with standard clickstream analysis tools: Omniture, ClickTracks, Webtrends, Coremetrics, Google Analytics
3+ years of experience in reporting and analyzing performance of online marketing activities and campaigns
3+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office suite, with particular strength in Microsoft Excel
1+ years of experience in advanced web analytics methodologies such as experimentation and testing, competitive analysis, surveys, multi-touch and multi-campaign attribution, etc.
Mid-level expertise in SEM strategies and a minimum 1 year experience measuring successes in SEM/PPC and SEO campaigns/efforts
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of end users and technical resources
Works effectively both independently and as a member of a functional team
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to provide insights and recommendations for changes to influence key decision makers
Proactive in analyzing customer behavior using data to influence changes on a site
