Web Analytics Manager

We are currently seeking a talented Web Analytics Manager to work in our Dallas office. As the Web Analytics Manager for Hotels.com, your role will be to research and report on the experience of users that have visited Hotels.com and turn this research into actionable recommendations to accomplish business objectives. This manager is responsible for managing one Web Analytics Analyst.

The ability to evangelize the importance of data-driven decision-making will be critical to this job. Creativity is key; as you will need to measure site usability and effectiveness while turning the data into actionable recommendations.


Job Content & Scope:
Support the analytics needs of the organization by analyzing web traffic using state of the art analytic tools. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners such as agencies to assist with data collection and reporting.

The Web Analytics Manager will focus their time on reporting and analysis. This will include clickstream analysis, conversion funnel analysis, search analysis, multivariate testing analysis, all combined with offline call center data. This role will analyze online and offline marketing campaigns (search & direct traffic), on-site promotions, business unit financial performance, product mix, in addition to working with our affiliate team.

Typical Deliverables:
Daily, weekly, monthly reports (using: excel, BI tools, clickstream analytics).
Support development of management dashboards.
Website behavior analysis
Data consolidation and validation
Coordinating tag management, tests, and tracking parameter implementations.
Receive, prioritize and resolve queries and requests for web analytics data support
Organize basic and advanced training for new and existing users

Experience

Required Experience:
Knowledge / Background / Experience:
Bachelor's degree required.
Has configured at least one top tier analytics package on a large e-commerce site.
3 years of experience working with top tier clickstream analysis tools, which could include: Omniture, WebTrends, Click Tracks, HBX, CoreMetrics, Visual Sciences, Fireclick, etc. STRONGLY PREFER OMNITURE EXPERIENCE.
At least one year of experience with SEM (Search Engine Marketing) / PPC (Pay Per Click) and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies and analysis.
At least one year of experience reporting and analyzing performance of online marketing activities such as Campaigns, Affiliate Marketing, Online Acquisition Strategies etc.
Two to four years of experience using the Microsoft Office suite with very strong Excel skills.
Business analysis experience within large companies having multiple functions / business units preferred.

Ability to identify key needs or gaps and provide leadership to close those gaps.
Communicates effectively to the relevant levels of business.

Technical / Functional Skills:
Understands relevant technology applications in their area.
SQL knowledge a plus.
Uses strong analytical skills to provide insights as well as information.
Handles multiple tasks, switches priorities and focuses as needed.
Exhibits high degree of pro-activeness in analyzing customer behavior using available data to influence changes on the website.
Understands the complex web ecosystems and best practices and applies this knowledge to their work.
