Mobile Search Marketing Event

Join us for an exciting event on Mobile Search Marketing co-hosted by SEMPO Atlanta, Boston and New York and sponsored by Google.

This event is being conducted in Atlanta but will be simulcast live to audiences in Boston and New York City. The speakers are all-stars of the mobile industry with many years experience. This will be an interactive event with plenty of opportunity for networking and engaging with program speakers and audience members in all locations.

Who Should Attend - Digital marketing professionals (either agencies or in-house) that make planning, buying and optimization decisions around mobile advertising.

Event Speakers

Andy Chu, Director of Bing Mobile Product Management, Bing

As Director in the Online Services Division for Microsoft Corporation, Andy Chu oversees the product management and GTM of Bing for Mobile across mobile phone platforms globally.  Prior to this role, Andy led the planning, product and partner management organization of the Windows Live for Mobile including Messenger and Hotmail.  Andy led a team of product managers and grew the business from a few millions to over 70M+ in monthly mobile unique users and $100M+ in revenue.  Andy also structured a number of strategic mobile operator and OEM deals, including Nokia, Samsung, RIM, Orange Group, Vodaphone Group, etc. during his tenure.  Over the past ten years, Andy held a number of strategy, planning, and business development positions spanning the communications, media and cloud computing industries at Microsoft.  He has over 13 years of experience in the IT and telecom industries, where he previously worked at Verizon Communications in RF engineering, product management, and strategic planning. 

Paul Gelb, VP of Mobile, Razorfish 

Paul helps clients on the road to innovation by pioneering media and development executions in mobile and integrated campaigns across digital out of home, broadband video, interactive television, social networks, and gaming. In an ever changing media landscape, Paul is also a trusted consultant to Razorfish's largest clients as they evolve their media and business strategies to include breakthrough technology and advanced platforms. Paul’s mobile clients include Unilever, Citibank, Ford, Mercedes Benz, Kraft, JCPenney, Staples, Ralph Lauren, Victoria’s Secret, Gilt Groupe, Tory Burch, Amway, Starwood, Intel, Dell, AT&T, QVC, The Hollywood Reporter, Terra, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and T Rowe Price. Paul was awarded the 2010 Media All Star Award by Mediaweek. He was recognized for his Ralph Lauren work with a mobile marketer of the year award and for his Mercedes work with Mobi and MIN awards. He has created concepts for five applications featured in the iTunes app store, one application featured on CNBC, the top branded iPhone application of 2008 and a top free iPad application. Paul has written about mobile industry trends for the Razorfish 2009 and 2010 Outlook reports, the Razorfish Tech 5 report and Mobile Marketer. His groundbreaking work, point of view and industry projections have been sought out by and received press in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Ad Age, MediaPost, Crain’s, Forrester Research, Parks Associates, Jupiter Research and Mobile Marketer. Recent and upcoming conference speaking engagements include SXSW, Mobile Marketing and Media 2010, SIIA: ISVs All About Mobile, Digiday, Streaming Media, PluggedIn MobileEco Summit, AMA Mobile Marketing, MM’s Mobile Marketing Summit and the Navigation Intelligence Executive Roundtable. Paul holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA and a B.S. in international business and macro-economic theory from the ILR School at Cornell University.

Chang Yu, 360i Group Director of Media

He has 11+ years of experience in the digital space & is the media lead for the Atlanta office of 360i.    Prior to joining 360i, Chang worked at TM Advertising in Dallas & 22Squared in Atlanta where he was responsible for media strategies & tactics on clients such as Subaru of America, Nationwide Insurance, & BellSouth.    He currently works across clients such as Capital One and EHI (Alamo Rental Car) helping to develop their digital strategy and to educate them on the opportunities that exist within the mobile space.

Elliott Nix, Senior Account Executive, Google  

Elliott is a Senior Account Executive on the Google Mobile Ads team and is based in NYC.  He has helped grow Google Mobile into a Billion dollar business that is now the largest mobile Search, Display and Video Network in the World. With over 10 years in media and advertising, spent primarily at OMD, he has worked on Blue Chip clients like Bank of America and PlayStation for everything from TV Buying to V.O.D.  Elliott helped start OMD's Emerging Technology: Mobile Team, and is credited with negotiating the first national on-deck advertiser/carrier deal with Verizon.  Currently, he works with various clients across industry verticals on deals like Click to Call, App Download, Video Mobile Ads, etc. to help lower CPA's, increase CTR and drive awareness. He lives in Glen Ridge, NJ with his wife and two daughters (Harper & Georgia) plus one on the way, and spends some of his free time as a volunteer ambulance driver.
