SEMPO Atlanta is designed to provide advanced search marketing education and networking opportunities for SEMPO members and non-members. It also aims to grow SEMPO membership and promote the efforts of the SEMPO Institute. Currently the group schedules five events per year, which include both networking and a guest speaker or panel. Members include in-house marketers, agencies, search engines, and technology providers.

Event Description:
With mobile geo-aware devices becoming the norm and with such a
high percentage of local mobile searches resulting in a purchase, it is no
longer possible to ignore local SEO. With increased impact of social signals on
SEO, it becomes crucial to fully understand how the concepts play together.
This session focuses on local and considerations which should be top of mind
while maximizing these highly converting channels.
Speakers:
Rob Reed is founder
and CEO of MomentFeed,
a social marketing platform built specifically for multilocation brands. The
MomentFeed platform provides an integrated solution to manage Facebook,
Foursquare, Instagram, and Twitter at the local level as well as Graph Search
optimization. Reed’s background is in marketing and journalism, and
he is the founder of Max Gladwell,
an independent blog on social media, sustainability, and geolocation. He can be
reached on Twitter.
For the last two
years, Tim C Henderson has held the position of the Southeast Regional Sales
Manager for Google Geospatial. As a Regional Manager, Tim is responsible
to the business development, adoption, and strategic planning for all Google
Geospatial products sold to enterprise in the southeast. Geospatial
services is one of the fastest growing technologies as it spans horizontal use
cases throughout enterprise including localization, supply chain, asset
management, business intelligence and many other new and innovative
applications.
Previously, Tim
worked for Microsoft and First Data Corporation, holding various positions in
eCommerce, enterprise, and business development with a focus on pioneering new
product suites.
